Ad Speed — Privacy Policy

Local processing

Ad Speed reads YouTube player DOM state and the current playback speed, volume and muted state solely to detect video ads and restore your playback preferences. The current page path and video query identifier are used transiently to recognize navigation. This information stays in tab memory; it is not recorded as browsing history or transmitted.

Stored settings

Enabled state, ad speed and mute preference are stored in chrome.storage.local on your device. These preferences are not synced by this extension. Uninstalling the extension removes its stored settings.

No external collection or sharing

The extension has no external server requests, analytics, telemetry, advertising SDKs, cookies, or remote executable code. It does not collect account credentials, personal information, video titles, transcripts or watch history. It does not sell or share data. Ad Speed's use of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Scope and control

Access is limited to https://www.youtube.com/*. You can disable Ad Speed from its popup or remove it from your browser. YouTube itself and the Chrome Web Store operate under their own privacy policies.
